My name is Logan. I am 19 years old and I have Alopecia. I was diagnosed when I was 9 years old and received my first Locks of Love hairpiece shortly after that. It saddens me so incredibly much to see negative comments about things that are not even true about this organization. Let me share with you just some of the wonderful things Locks of Love has done for me.
First of all, they provide a beautiful hairpiece that I get to wear every day. Without this, I wouldn’t get all of the wonderful compliments on the pretty hair that I have. As a person with no hair, when someone compliments my hairpiece it simply puts a glowing smile on my face. Because of Locks of Love, they paid for my mother and I to go to Florida in the first annual summer camp. This trip was all expenses paid. I got to stay in a lovely hotel, do lots of fun things, meet many other girls like me, and get to tour the actual Locks of Love facility. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. In addition, Locks of Love gave me the confidence to write a story when I was younger, which then went on to be published in the Alopecia magazine.
Locks of Love has been one of the absolute biggest blessings in my entire life and I could never say thank you enough. So much of what they have been able to provide for me has made me into the strong and confident woman that I am today. Without donations from people like you, Locks of Love would not be able to make this happen. So, please, before you say anything negative about this amazing organization, please know what you’re saying and how if you stop donating it will affect other girls like me. Locks of Love changes people’s lives, so please continue supporting because we need it. A HUGE thank you to the supporters. You are what makes this possible.
